  • Afroyucatecxs

    Based on conversations between seven Afro-descendants who reside in Merida, Yucatan, Mexico, this project creates an interdisciplinary project, working community, a museum of living memories and testimonies, and a socially engaged performance. Topics include personal stories of migration to the city, stories about Afro-descendant grandparents born in Yucatan or immigrants; Afro descendants born in Yucatan or in other regions such as the Costa Chica de Guerrero and the Caribbean.
